BBQ Corned Beef Brisket
This BBQ twist will turn a traditional corned beef brisket into a tasty, smoky treat. It's a favorite at barbecues because the dry rub and BBQ glaze make the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
Ingredients:
- 1 whole corned beef brisket 4-5 lbs
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions:
Preheat your smoker to 225F 107C
Remove the corned beef brisket from the packaging and rinse it under cold water
Pat it dry with paper towels
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub
Rub the spice mixture generously over the entire surface of the brisket, covering it evenly
Place the brisket in the smoker and smoke for about 4-6 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 200F 93C
During the last hour of smoking, brush the brisket with BBQ sauce every 20 minutes for a flavorful glaze
Once done, remove the brisket from the smoker and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing
Slice the brisket against the grain and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side
